MEDIA STAKEHOLDERS MAPPING MEETING

JUBA, 18 June, 2021 NPC South Sudan on Friday participated in a meeting organized by the Political Affairs section, United Nation Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) on the permanent constitution making process. The meeting discussed the role of media in civic education and public consultation as well as the challenges, constraints for effective media role in the permanent constitution making process in the country.

The meeting resolved that the media sectors write a petition to the IGAD, AU, EU for immediate consideration and inclusion of media personnel in the constitution making process.

JUBA, 11 June, 2021- As we continue to advocate for a conducive working environment for journalists in South Sudan, NPC South Sudan management on Thursday facilitated a two days training for the Central Equatoria State government Press secretaries at Civic Engagement Center.

National Press Club South Sudan (NPC-SS) is delighted to support the ministry of information and communication of Central Equatoria in training their Press secretaries from various state ministries of information, education, State legislative assembly, health among other line ministries. The two days Training will conclude today.

According to the state Information ministry Director General Mr. Rumba Peter during the opening session said, the next refresher or the orientation will then focus on the various counties in the state. The state ministry looks forward to further engagement with NPC-SS in the effort to promote media Freedom in the state and the Countries levels.
