NPC-SS

National Press Club-South Sudan is a non-profit and nongovernmental media organization, serving as a platform where both the local and international journalists operating in South Sudan gather to share their experience, challenges, progress as well as helping to ensure healthily democracies through robust and professional media practices, bolstering transparency in public affairs, raising public awareness on important development issues, as well as facilitating debate and the dynamic exchange of information and ideas.

Mission…

To act in the interests of national and international journalists, develop their skills, and advocate for their rights in accordance with Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (right to freedom of expression and opinion).  Establish a sustainable robust and vibrant media presence in South Sudan.

Vision…

Achieve a conducive environment for journalists, filmmakers, media practitioners such as editors and press secretaries in the Republic of South Sudan.

Transparency, Accountability, Free, Independent, and Objective journalism in South Sudan.

Objective

Bring journalists ad media practitioners together for professional development.

Activities

The NPC-SS implements the activities not limited to the following:

  • Sustainability: Annual membership subscription and funds generated from the internet café facility.
